Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Trips CBT (“Trips”, “we”) collects when your school uses the platform, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to school administrators, teachers and students who use Trips.

Information We Collect

• School and account information, such as the school name, administrator name, email address and phone number.
• Class, subject and student records created by your school, such as student names and class or subject allocations.
• Exam content you author, including questions, options, durations and instructions.
• Answers, scores, submission times and result summaries generated while an exam runs.
• Basic technical data such as device type, app version and sync logs, used to keep exams reliable.
• Messages you send us through WhatsApp, email, Telegram or X when you contact support.

How We Use It

• Delivering exams: serving questions, timing the session and scoring submissions.
• Reporting: building result tables for the classes and subjects your school selects.
• Syncing: moving answers captured offline back to your school’s account when a connection returns.
• Access control: keeping each school’s records isolated so users only see their own school.
• Support: answering your questions and sending important service notices.
• Security: diagnosing faults, preventing abuse and keeping the platform stable.

We do not sell personal data, and we never use student data for advertising.

Data Storage

• Records are stored on secure servers and encrypted in transit.
• Each school’s data is isolated with row-level security, so a user from one school cannot reach another school’s records.
• Answers captured offline live only on the student’s device until they sync, after which the local copy is cleared.
• School and exam records are kept while the school’s account is active, and deleted or anonymised on request.

Student Data & Schools

• Your school is the data controller for student records; Trips processes them on the school’s instructions.
• We ask for the minimum needed to run an exam, usually a student’s name and class. Students do not need an email address or a personal account to sit an exam.
• Parents and guardians should contact the school first about a student’s records. We support schools in responding to those requests.

Your Rights

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you or your school.
• Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
• Ask us to delete records we no longer need to keep.
• Unsubscribe from product and marketing messages at any time.

We respond to privacy requests within 30 days. Some records may be kept where the law requires it, or where they are needed to resolve a dispute.
